Just nearly experienced death by coffee. Bit of a choking spell. I should be okay.

Did you know that supposedly 91 percent of the adult Dutch population drinks coffee? That's more than the U.S. -- with 54 percent regular drinkers and another 25 percent being occasional drinkers. Maybe that explains my natural affinity for the beverage. I still remember several years ago, my aunt, who had lived in Amsterdam for several years, was pouring coffee after dinner. She made some comment about me taking my coffee like a true Dutch girl. (I actually drank coffee as a kid, but had to lay off it when I was a teenager because even the smell of it gave me migraines. Sad.)
